Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following all safety and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in resident status; escalate changes promptly
- Perform routine assessments and participate in care planning with the licensed nursing team
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide comfort, dignity, and safety
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to policy and privacy standards
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other care team members to deliver coordinated care
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures

Requirements
- Local candidate in or near Gallup, NM or within a commutable distance (local-only assignment)
- Logical, reliable ability to work 12-hour shifts and meet guaranteed hours
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or equivalent setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain
- Current ability to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico (or eligibility per regulatory standards)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document clearly and follow care plans
