Responsibilities
- Perform triage and initial assessment of ED patients, prioritizing care based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret assessments, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and perform IV therapy per physician orders and hospital protocol.
- Support diagnostic processes, prepare patients for imaging, and assist procedures as needed.
- Provide care across all ages and populations, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Document care in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with physicians, case managers, and family members.
- Participate in code and emergency response teams; assist with stabilizing patients during critical events.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii registered nurse license
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with potential shift variations (days/evenings/nights)
