Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

Albuquerque, NM
Contracted
Las Palomas Ctr
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal Licensed Practical Nurse role in Long-Term Care that blends compassionate geriatric care with the broad experience of travel assignments. This is your chance to impact lives profoundly—helping residents maintain dignity, comfort, and independence while supporting families through meaningful moments of care. The assignment begins March 16, 2026 and runs for multiple weeks, offering a reliable rhythm of 36 guaranteed hours per week with a pay range of $741 to $796. As you bring clinical precision to daily routines, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore Albuquerque’s vibrant community and the stunning landscapes of New Mexico. From the sunlit adobe schools to the Sandia Mountains and the historic charm of Old Town, the state’s beauty and warmth await you, inviting weekend explorations, cultural festivals, and outdoor adventures that enrich your days off as you enrich the lives of residents.

Location benefits play a central role in this opportunity. The primary base is Albuquerque, NM, a city where modern amenities meet rich history and a thriving culinary and arts scene. You’ll experience the best of urban benefits and a welcoming community, with easy access to nature and outdoor recreation. Additionally, this travel role opens doors to working in varied long-term care settings across the United States, offering exposure to diverse facility cultures, care models, and patient populations. The chance to rotate through memory care, rehabilitation, and multi–facility environments fosters well-rounded clinical growth, expands your professional network, and builds resilience that benefits every future step in your nursing career. You’ll receive flexibility that respects your life outside of work while ensuring that you’re supported wherever your assignments take you. Housing assistance is provided, and you’ll be part of a system that prioritizes stable, predictable compensation even as you explore new communities.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of patient care within long-term care facilities. Core responsibilities include administering medications and treatments in collaboration with licensed professionals, monitoring vital signs, assessing changes in residents’ conditions, and implementing care plans under RN supervision. You’ll perform basic wound care, catheter and ostomy support as indicated, and assist with activities of daily living to promote comfort and safety. You’ll document accurately in the electronic medical record, communicate clear handoffs to the care team, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds. Your clinical judgment will help prevent complications, manage chronic conditions, and empower residents to maintain independence wherever possible. You’ll educate families and residents about disease management, wellness strategies, and safety practices, reinforcing the trust that underpins every caregiving relationship. Professional growth is built into the role: you’ll have opportunities to expand geriatric competencies, pursue specialty credentials, and take on mentor or leadership tasks as you demonstrate proficiency and initiative. This is a dynamic path for LPNs who want depth in long-term care while savoring the variety that travel assignments provide.

The package reflects competitive benefits designed to support you and your career trajectory. In addition to the travel stipend and housing assistance, the role offers a bonus structure that recognizes excellent performance and successful completion of assignments. Extension opportunities are available—your performance and fit with partner facilities can lead to longer engagements, additional shifts, and broader scope of responsibilities. You’ll benefit from comprehensive support beyond the clinical floor, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel care team. We’re with you every step of the way—from travel logistics to on-call clinical guidance, so you can focus on delivering outstanding resident care with peace of mind. This support network also includes access to local resources, safety protocols, and rapid help in case of any facility challenges or emergencies. The combination of consistent hours, dependable weekly compensation, and predictable supervision enhances your ability to plan ahead, save, and invest in your professional development.

Our company values your contributions and your growth. We are committed to empowering staff through continuous learning, clear pathways for career advancement, and a culture that prioritizes respect, collaboration, and resilience.
