EEG Technician (EEG Tech) – Burlington, VT, United States. Travel assignment starting May 18, 2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay $1,982-$2,100. Responsibilities
- Perform EEG testing and neurophysiology monitoring per established protocols, including pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients, place electrodes, and perform skin preparation; apply electrodes with collodion as needed.
- Acquire and review EEG data; ensure accuracy and documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC) within the past 2 years.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during testing; monitor for adverse events and respond per protocol.
- Collaborate with the care team on cardiac device-related procedures (ablation candidates, cardioversions, device interrogations) as part of the clinical neurophysiology workflow.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, ensure infection control, and perform routine quality checks.
- Document findings clearly and promptly; communicate any clinical concerns to supervising staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience in a related setting.
- REEGT certification required at time of submission.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- ABRET verification required.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Pediatric experience is required (approximately 50% of cases).
- Proficiency with electrode placement and skin preparation using collodion.
- Ability to work day shifts in a clinical neurophysiology setting and to travel as part of a travel assignment.
- Reliable transportation is recommended.
