Responsibilities
- Administers ionizing irradiation to patients per prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
- Operates radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately.
- Monitors patient positioning and immobilization, ensuring comfort and adherence to treatment protocols.
- Verifies treatment parameters and documents treatments per protocol.
- Collaborates with radiation oncologists and therapy team to execute prescribed treatment plans.
- Maintains strict radiation safety practices and complies with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Completed accredited radiation therapy program.
- Certification: ARRT or ABR certification (or equivalent) preferred/required.
- Licensure: Eligible for licensure in California.
- Experience: Prior radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Schedule: Able to fulfill a 8-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, days shift.
