Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy to address impairments and functional limitations, aiming to improve quality of life after injury or disease.
- Perform PT assessments and implement treatment plans, adjusting as needed in collaboration with the patient and care team.
- Apply appropriate modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and neuromuscular re-education per physician orders.
- Document evaluations, treatment interventions, progress notes, and discharge plans; ensure accurate charting and communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Consider patient factors such as gender, age, cultural differences, and educational needs; provide patient-centered education and obtain informed consent.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and professional standards while delivering empathetic, patient-focused care.
Requirements
- Active physical therapy license in Montana and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Education: professional degree from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- Amiable personality with sound judgment and the ability to maintain an empathetic, patient-centered attitude.
- Must be able to work on-site in Havre, MT and participate in a rotating shift pattern for a travel assignment.
