Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for Med Surg Telemetry patients, including assessments, vital signs, and care planning.
- Monitor telemetry, interpret basic cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes in patient status per policy.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; ensure accurate documentation in the EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, daily rounding, and discharge planning.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality metrics; educate patients and families on care plans.
- Document all nursing activities accurately and timely, including I&O, vitals, and progress notes; escalate issues as needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (or eligible for licensure)
- 2+ years of RN experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry or equivalent setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to cover every other weekend/holiday as assigned
- Non-local traveler: must reside >50 miles from the facility
