Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for CVICU patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, and adjust care plans as appropriate in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document care accurately and timely.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using professional judgment and critical thinking.
- Communicate patient needs and care plans effectively to patients, families, and the interprofessional team.
- Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to policy through meticulous charting and compliance with unit protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- CVICU or critical care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment
- Willingness to comply with travel assignment requirements and scheduling
