Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date June 15, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $1,853–$1,945. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12), hospital setting with unit-based orientation.

Responsibilities
- Float between Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular Unit as needed
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including ongoing assessment and monitoring
- Administer medications, monitor IVs, and perform procedures within scope; document care in the Meditech EMR
- Utilize Pyxis for medication distribution; operate wound vacs; assist with chest tube management
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; uphold patient safety and comfort
- Maintain professional standards in dress and behavior; complete unit-specific orientation and documentation
Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active by start of assignment; if not in possession, must apply upon acceptance of offer
- Proof of immunity required; exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documented immunity
- BLS and ACLS are required; preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
- 2–10 years of nursing experience
- Ability to float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit; able to work 12-hour night shifts
- Must arrive Thursday before start date to complete employee health requirements
