Responsibilities
- Perform interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures including left heart catheterization, high-risk PCI, right heart catheterization, pacemaker/lead procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, and structural heart interventions.
- Operate cath lab imaging systems and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; assist with EMCO and EKOS as applicable; ensure imaging quality and patient safety.
- Prepare the cath lab, maintain sterile technique, monitor patient status during procedures, and provide post-procedure care and documentation.
- Collaborate with cardiology physicians, nursing staff, and anesthesia to optimize procedural flow and patient safety; document procedures and outcomes accurately.
- Ensure compliance with BLS requirements and Cath Lab credentialing standards; maintain competency and participate in ongoing education; AART or RCIS certification as part of professional requirements.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of interventional/diagnostic cath lab experience
- Associate degree in health science or completion of an accredited technology program (CVT/Radiology)
- BLS certification required; AART or RCIS certification required
- Must have cath lab experience with proficiency in the procedures listed above
- Availability for 12-hour day shifts, typically Monday through Friday
