Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy assistant services under plan of care to residents, supporting restorative goals
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, ROM, gait training, balance and aerobic activities, transfers, and modalities as prescribed
- Monitor resident progress, document treatment sessions, and communicate outcomes to the supervising therapist
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (PT, OT, RN, activities staff) to support safe, effective rehabilitation
- Maintain safety, infection control, and equipment safety during all therapy sessions
- Provide patient and family education related to therapy goals, home exercise programs, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in Maryland
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-centered care skills
