Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department for adult and pediatric patients
- Perform triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid escalation as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and life-support measures per ER protocols
- Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, techs, and EMS; document care in the electronic medical record
- Assist with imaging, laboratory coordination, and specialty consultations; participate in codes and rapid response events
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective family communication during all phases of care
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC and/or ENPC preferred
- Ability to work a night-shift schedule in a busy ED environment
- Credentialing eligibility and ability to complete required steps; conditional compliance allowed if credentials are in process
