Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to residents in a corrections-oriented long-term care environment under supervision.
- Monitor and document vital signs, assess clinical changes, administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Support activities of daily living, promote resident safety, and implement rehabilitative and comfort measures as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans; communicate changes promptly.
- Maintain accurate charting, ensure proper infection control practices, and uphold safety and facility policies during all shifts.
- Respond to emergencies, triage as appropriate, and escalate concerns to the charge nurse or physician in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (general requirement; state-specific licensure not listed in notes)
- Ability to work night shifts (12-hour blocks) in a corrections-related long-term care setting
- Willingness to operate within a team-based care model and adhere to facility policies
- Availability to start on 04/01/2026 and commit to an 8-week assignment
- Strong communication skills and reliability in a high-acuity environment
- Prior experience in long-term care and/or corrections settings preferred, not required
