Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg|Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry (Neuro/Ortho unit) travel assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. Start date: 07/13/2026 for a weeks-long assignment with a 3x12 Nights shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,081 to $2,241 per week, with 36 guaranteed hours for a 3x12 schedule. This is an acute care hospital unit (MS/Tele) supporting adult patients in orthopedics, neurology, med/surg, and stroke care. You’ll work in a Neuro/Ortho (MS/Telemetry) environment with telemetry monitoring and remote surveillance, and you may be floated within the service line (excluding ICU, SDU, and ED). Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care for adult patients on Med/Surg/Telemetry, including orthopedic post-op and stroke/neurology care
- Monitor patients via telemetry, interpret alarms, and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Initiate and manage IV access, perform IV starts, and maintain PICC line care as applicable
- Administer medications per care plans and document in EPIC per policy
- Support total joint replacement/post-operative ortho and general neuro/ortho/med/surg patients; apply isolation precautions and PPE appropriately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, coordinate patient care, and ensure accurate charting and handoffs
Requirements
- Licensure: Active RN license in Missouri or eligible per policy; pending licenses accepted per candidate and compliance notes
- Certifications: BLS (BCLS) and NIHSS required; ACLS may be required for some locations; verify per assignment
- Experience: 2+ years RN experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
- Special skills: Telemetry monitoring, stroke/CVA care, IV starts and maintenance, PICC line care
- Floating: May be floated anywhere within the service line except ICU, SDU, and ED
- Scheduling: Night shift; able to work 3x12 nights
- Compliance: RTO restrictions—maximum 7 days of RTO within a 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of assignment
- Locational requirement: Travel assignment; non-local applicants outside a 75-mile radius preferred
