Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging according to physician orders, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Prepare and position patients, provide clear explanations, and monitor for comfort and safety during the exam.
- Operate and troubleshoot the CT scanner, adjust protocols, and ensure adherence to ALARA and radiation safety standards.
- Verify patient identity and orders, select appropriate imaging sequences, and ensure accurate documentation in the imaging records.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and CLS/tech teams; assist with contrast administration and related venipuncture as needed.
- Maintain equipment, assist with quality control, and uphold infection control and safety protocols throughout procedures.
Requirements
- Active ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with CT specialization: R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R) with CT
- Advanced Certification in CT required
- ORBLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required
- Venipuncture certification preferred
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and adapt to a variable schedule
- Eligibility to work in Portland, Oregon (US) and to meet assignment start requirements
