Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using Philips MRI systems, ensuring image quality and adherence to protocol
- Screen patients for safety, verify orders, obtain informed consent when applicable, and position patients with appropriate coils
- Choose imaging sequences, monitor during exams, and address patient comfort and safety throughout the study
- Produce diagnostic-quality images, review for technical adequacy, and document findings in the electronic medical record (Epic) per unit policy
- Collaborate with radiology team, technologists, and clinical staff to coordinate workflow and meet patient care needs
- Adhere to safety standards, BLS requirements, and MRI safety policies; float between inpatient and outpatient locations as assigned
Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT license; MR advanced licensure required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) on file
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; teaching hospital experience preferred
- Philips MRI system experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift and to float between inpatient and outpatient settings
