Travel Registered Nurse CCU Job
Registered Nurse – CCU (CVICU cross-coverage) in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This travel assignment begins 09/01/2026 for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a 3x12 rotating shift. Compensation ranges from $2,575 to $2,674 per week. The position requires 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) with weekend rotation and a mandatory call rotation. Nurses will cover CCU and CVICU needs, bringing Day 0 CVICU experience to a smaller, independent hospital setting that serves the local community. This travel role is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in CCU and CVICU settings, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive infusions, and invasive line care
- Deliver evidence-based critical care nursing focusing on stabilizing and monitoring critically ill patients, with cross-coverage between CCU and CVICU as needed
- Respond to emergent events, lead rapid response and code scenarios, and coordinate with the cath lab team for procedures in the hybrid or standard Cath Lab environments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, medications, procedures, and patient/family education; participate in interdisciplinary rounds
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols; ensure proper equipment maintenance and room readiness; participate in call rotations and weekend coverage as required
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association; PALS (AHA) required
- CVICU experience with Day 0 CVICU exposure; strong CVICU skills; 3 years RN Critical Care experience required
- Ability to work in CCU/CVICU environments with 12-hour night shifts and to participate in call rotations
- Education: graduation from an accredited nursing program and eligibility for Colorado RN licensure
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- Travel assignment eligibility: minimum distance from the site as defined, with ability to work in a hospital critical care setting
