Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med Surg patients, including post-surgical and medical cases
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and treatments per orders, and manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes as needed
- Document in EPIC EMR, ensuring accurate charting and clear communication with the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other staff to support safe discharge planning and care coordination
- Float to other units as required, adhering to unit policies and safety standards; maintain infection control and patient safety protocols
- Respond to patient needs, deliver patient education, and uphold standards of professional practice

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS verification showing an active NY license and all active RN licenses
- Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience
- Travel experience required; local candidates considered at local rate (within 75 miles)
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- EMR experience with EPIC
- Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg setting and float to other units as needed
- Resume must include 2+ years MS experience and travel experience
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of submission
