Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Care (Endoscopy/Special Procedures)

Weekly pay: $2,173–$2,312 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Shift: Day shift; four 9-hour days (6:30 am–4:00 pm) with call rotation
Setting: Hospital-based ambulatory care with endoscopy/special procedures

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopy and other special procedures in an ambulatory environment
- Assess and monitor patients pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure; manage vital signs and respond to changes in condition
- Prepare procedure rooms, assist with endoscopic and related procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support anesthesia as applicable
- Administer medications, monitor post-procedure recovery, document in the electronic chart, and deliver safe discharge education
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, coordinate scheduling and post-care needs, and ensure patient education and follow-up instructions
- Maintain equipment and supplies, uphold infection control practices, and comply with safety policies; holidays may be required
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Maine (or eligible to practice) with current certification
- ACLS and CLS/BCLS current
- Minimum five (5) years of Endoscopy/Special Procedures nursing experience
- 1–2 years of Critical Care and/or Endoscopy experience
- Ability to work in a hospital-based ambulatory/endoscopy setting; flexible with shifts and call rotation
