Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patients with injuries or illnesses that limit movement or function; establish measurable goals and a treatment plan.
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and daily functioning.
- Deliver hands-on therapy and use appropriate modalities and techniques; monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Document patient care in the electronic health record and communicate findings with the rehabilitation team and treating physicians.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, safety, and functional goals; participate in discharge planning and follow-up as appropriate.
- Collaborate with a rural, multi-site rehabilitation team to coordinate care and facilitate efficient patient transitions between locations.
Requirements
- Active Montana Physical Therapist license
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in PT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Certifications such as dry needling or pelvic floor therapy are considered a plus
- Ability to work in a rural, multi-site setting and travel between facilities; able to perform all physical requirements of the role
- Proficiency with computer-based documentation and standard healthcare software
