Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including monitoring maternal status and fetal heart rate, administering medications, and supporting labor progression.
- Assist during obstetric procedures and deliveries, including OB-related assessments and intraoperative support as an OR Circulator when needed.
- Monitor for obstetric emergencies, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate with the obstetric team to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Epic EMR with accurate and timely charting.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and nursing staff; participate in patient education, discharge planning, and family communication.
- Occasionally float to medical-surgical units, ICU, or ED to support staffing needs and overflow patients while maintaining quality of care.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Montana or a compact license recognized for Montana practice.
- Minimum 2 years of recent obstetric/L&D or closely related experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certification; all certs must be active and on file at submission.
- Education: RN education from an accredited program (associate degree or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
- EMR experience: Epic electronic medical record experience required.
- OB experience with OR Circulator duties; ability to support intraoperative care as needed.
- Ability to work in a hospital/travel assignment setting with rotating day/night shifts.
- 200-mile radius rule applies; please submit with understanding of geographic eligibility and any/all timing considerations.
