Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult Med-Surg patients in an acute care environment, including monitoring, assessment, and timely response to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and side effects
- Document care in the electronic medical record; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and ensure patient safety
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and self-care, while promoting infection control and safety protocols
- Demonstrate professional nursing practice by upholding standards, policies, and regulatory requirements; participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse license
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH (as noted)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7PM-7AM) and a schedule that includes every other weekend
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment
- Must be able to meet holiday coverage expectations and comply with Northside Holiday Requirements as described
