Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (LDRP) travel assignment in a hospital setting. Specialty: L&D. Location: Montana, United States. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: Weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive RN care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum, including newborn care for neonates and infants as part of the LDRP unit.
- Triage obstetrical patients, perform sterile vaginal exams, and circulate for cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Monitor fetal status with wireless fetal monitoring; manage postpartum hemorrhage using the JADA device and standard postpartum protocols; initiate IVs as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy) to coordinate care and ensure smooth patient flow; document in Epic.
- Float per unit needs (when no L&D patients are present) to cover non-patient tasks and phone coverage; maintain safe scope of practice with no cross-unit patient assignments.
Requirements
- Active MT or Compact RN license
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, CLC, STABLE
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Unit experience: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) with newborn care
- Ability to work in a small-unit OB environment and float as needed
- Proficiency with Epic charting
