Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following facility policies and procedures
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, observe changes in condition, and document findings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and care plans
- Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care and report changes promptly
- Ensure infection control, safety, and quality of care during night shifts
- Provide clear handoffs and effective communication during shift changes
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Graduation from an approved LPN program (LPN diploma)
- Ability to fulfill a 3x12 night shift schedule
- Comfortable working in a long-term care setting with older adults
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and facility policies
