Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography imaging using Hologic mammography units; obtain standard and specialty views as ordered, ensuring image quality and patient safety.
- Position patients correctly for all views, maximize first-attempt image accuracy, and minimize repeats; educate patients about the exam as needed.
- Operate imaging equipment and manage image workflow; process and verify images; utilize EPIC and Visage for orders, documentation, and image transfer to radiologists.
- Maintain radiation safety protocols, verify patient identity, screen for contraindications, and adhere to infection control and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other technologists; participate in bi-weekly orientations on Mondays; comply with a no-float policy and a required weekend day per week.
- Document procedures and any deviations in the EMR; perform basic equipment QC and report maintenance needs as appropriate.

Requirements
- ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department with rotating day/evening shifts and one weekend day per week; no float
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not available in the area; winter tires recommended November through April
