Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Cumming, GA, United States. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,635 to $1,732 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital-based Acute Care Inpatient Oncology Med Surg unit. This assignment is for a traveling RN delivering inpatient Med Surg care to adult oncology patients on a 12-hour night schedule.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care to adults on a Med Surg oncology inpatient unit, including frequent assessments and timely response to changes in condition
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies within scope of practice, monitor for adverse effects, and document clinical observations accurately in the medical record
- Implement and adjust plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; coordinate treatments, imaging, labs, and discharge planning as appropriate
- Monitor and manage IV therapy, infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, and safety standards to protect patients and staff
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and post-discharge care; provide support and advocacy as needed
- Maintain compliance with AHA BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS guidelines; chemotherapy credentialing is not required for this assignment
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient Med Surg or oncology-related experience
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS current at time of assignment
- Chemo certification not required
- Ability to work in a hospital inpatient setting and contribute effectively to a multidisciplinary team
