Travel Radiology X-Ray Tech Job
X-Ray Tech – Radiology travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,437–$2,488. Shift: 8 hours. Assignment in a hospital setting with the need to work with radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. This position requires proficiency with radiographic equipment, contrast administration support, and working within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
- Prepare the radiographic room, equipment, and materials; manage contrast as needed; clean and disinfect imaging area and equipment.
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures: explain the exam, assist during the procedure, and help the patient from the room as needed.
- Follow prescribed techniques to obtain diagnostic X-ray images; competently utilize HIS/PACS/RIS systems; print exams on film as needed and participate in department QA processes.
- Monitor patient and equipment during procedures; report unusual occurrences and document patient condition; maintain stock supplies and support general department duties.
- Environment is OR-like with close interactions with nurses and providers; C-Arm procedure experience is preferred; procedures are primarily injections and ablations of the spine.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
- Current New York State Department of Health radiologic technologist license
- ARRT (Radiography) certification
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years radiography experience
- Flexibility to work overtime including evenings and weekends; OR-like environment with close collaboration with nursing and medical staff
- C-Arm procedure experience preferred
