Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations and ongoing treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients across outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings; adjust plans based on progress and discharge goals
- Perform gait training, transfers (including Hoyer lift), mobility coaching, ADL training, and functional strengthening
- Provide wound care and lymphedema management; participate in pelvic floor therapy and pediatrics when appropriate
- Administer and monitor therapeutic modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, TENS, iontophoresis) and document care in the designated electronic charting system (Epic)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and ensure safe, efficient transitions across settings
- Float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF needs; follow pre-start/orientation modules; comply with facility policies and documentation standards
Requirements
- Active Alaska Physical Therapy license (compact license acceptable) in hand at submission
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical physical therapy experience
- Willingness to float among outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings
- Local radius rule: permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the work site
- Two references documenting at least 1 year of professional experience within the last 3 years
