Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and modifying individualized therapy plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities to promote independence.
- Monitor patient progress, document responses to therapy, and communicate changes to the supervising OT.
- Support safe patient handling, positioning, transfers, and adherence to infection control protocols and equipment usage.
- Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs and ongoing functional goals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the care team to optimize rehabilitation outcomes and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential; active Maryland licensure or eligibility preferred.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing setting under supervision and adhere to professional standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable coordinating with interdisciplinary staff.
- Basic computer and documentation skills to maintain timely therapy notes and progress reports.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment with the given start date and guaranteed hours.
- Demonstrated respect for patient privacy and HIPAA guidelines; reliable and punctual in attendance.
