Travel assignment for a Surgical Tech – NBSTSA OR Tech (1ST TIMER) in Seaside, Oregon. Start date 05/11/2026 for Weeks. Weekly pay between $1,959 and $2,004 per week. Guaranteed Hours: 0.0. Shift: 4x10 Days. Setting: a rural, acute-care facility with a Main OR and Endoscopy suite, staffed for adults and geriatrics, with a 23-bed capacity.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in the Main OR and Endoscopy suite for a variety of procedures (general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urology, and endoscopy cases)
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument handling, counts, and immediate turnover between cases
- Support patients in the OR environment with a focus on adults and geriatrics; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Assist with Endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopy) and C-section procedures; float between Endoscopy and C-section suites as needed
- Handle instrument processing, sterilization, and aseptic technique; operate electrosurgical units and assist with scope handling
- Document procedures and patient data in EPIC; contribute to accurate room turnover and supply management
- Participate in call rotation and respond to on-call requirements as scheduled
- Assist with post-operative room cleanup and preparation for subsequent cases
Requirements
- NBSTSA certification as an OR Tech (NBSTSA OR Tech) and BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant OR experience
- Proficiency with general and orthopedic procedures (e.g., total joints, arthroscopy), and GYN/OB procedures (C-sections, hysterectomy)
- Endoscopy experience and scope handling skills; familiarity with instrument reprocessing
- Ability to work in a Main OR and Endoscopy/C-section suite; float within hospital/affiliate as needed
- EPIC experience preferred; must provide two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
- Vehicle required for assignment; ability to commute to the site location
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
