Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care; participate in discharge planning
- Document care and outcomes; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team
- Provide patient and family education and support; utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination
Requirements
- Current California RN license (active) or state of practice equivalent
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or telemetry experience
