Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance.
- Support smooth shift handoffs and transitions to maintain continuity of care.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver coordinated nursing care per established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervisory skills to direct the activities of nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines.
- Strong critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in clinical practice.
- Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work nights and 12-hour shifts in an inpatient labor and delivery setting.
