Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit using the nursing process; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor cardiac status and telemetry data; administer medications and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record; ensure accuracy and privacy.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care; supervise and delegate tasks to assigned nursing staff as appropriate.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in California; active and in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- Epic experience required
- Minimum two years of recent experience in telemetry or acute care
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting; eligible to work the listed shift pattern
