Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders in adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for communication and swallowing concerns.
- Provide direct therapy sessions and monitor progress, adjusting goals as needed.
- Document patient progress, goals, and treatment responses in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and family/caregiver education.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a long-term care or geriatric care setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Capacity to manage a caseload and adjust therapy plans based on patient response.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to schedule requirements.
- Credentialing and regulatory compliance as applicable to the role.
