Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an adult patient population using the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, and respond to changes in condition
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in an electronic health record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate duties as appropriate
- Maintain patient safety and a healing environment, while providing learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members
Requirements
- California RN license (active) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred but not required
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
