Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures using CT scanner, adhering to protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality.
- Position patients accurately, adjust technical factors, and monitor patient safety and comfort during scans.
- Administer or observe contrast per protocol and manage related patient care as indicated.
- Apply CT quality control procedures, maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles, and ensure equipment is prepared for daily use.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage patient transport, and document imaging results in the patient record.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the radiology team to prioritize patient care and maintain workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- NY state license to practice radiologic technology
- ARRT CT registry/certification required
- 1+ year CT experience
- Ability to work 10-hour night shifts (Mon–Thu)
- Knowledge of CT quality control procedures, safety procedures, anatomical positioning, and patient care organization
