Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services under supervision and in accordance with the established plan of care for adults in a skilled nursing setting.
- Assess functional abilities and participate in re-evaluations, documenting progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
- Implement therapeutic activities and modalities to improve activities of daily living, upper-extremity strength, range of motion, coordination, and functional mobility.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and modification of individualized treatment plans; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records; communicate changes in status and care plans with supervising OT and care team.
- Educate patients, families, and care staff on therapeutic strategies, safety considerations, and home-program instructions; ensure adherence to infection control and safety policies.
Requirements
- Active Maryland license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligibility for licensure.
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Ability to work a 13-week travel assignment starting May 25, 2026, with guaranteed 35 hours per week and a day-shift schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced care environment.
