Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care (Travel) — Tuba City, Arizona — 13-week assignment starting 11/16/2026 in a surgery center setting. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a pay range of $2,411 to $2,525 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This position is a travel, temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide medically based speech-language pathology services to inpatient and outpatient populations, assessing and treating patients across the age span from birth to geriatric.
- Interpret evaluations and test results; develop treatment plans with physician referral or in consultation with physicians; set realistic goals based on patient abilities and diagnoses.
- Administer specialized therapies, including swallowing assessments (VFSS/MBS), FEES, cognitive interventions, voice therapy, pediatric feeding, and pediatric speech-language therapy; coordinate specialty clinics as needed.
- Document assessment results, treatment progress, and termination of services in the electronic health record; ensure clear communication with patients, families, and the care team.
- Instruct patients, families, and staff on therapeutic procedures and home programs to promote carryover; collaborate with the Physical Rehabilitation team and other health professionals.
- Support ongoing quality improvement, safety initiatives, and credentialing processes; provide training and in-services for students and staff.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
- Licensure/Certification: ASHA CCC-SLP; valid, current SLP license (Arizona or any U.S. state); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of licensed SLP experience; pediatric (birth–5 years) and adult experience including dysphagia and neuro disorders.
- Credentials: Must be eligible for Medical Staff credentialing; not accepting SLPA applicants.
- Practical requirements: Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings within a surgery center environment; ability to travel/relocate for assignment as needed.
