Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and document in the resident chart
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, vital signs, and response to therapies; report findings to the supervising nurse promptly
- Provide basic wound care, dressing changes, and assistance with activities of daily living as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including MARs, care plans, and shift notes; ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Respond to call lights, participate in admissions and discharges as assigned, and support a calm, patient-centered care environment
Requirements
- Active Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting (travel experience preferred)
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (18:00–06:30)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to pass background check and drug screen
