Mid Level
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Registered Nurse in the Observation Unit, where precise assessment, swift decision making, and compassionate care combine to deliver outcomes that matter. In Ohio’s Zanesville region, you’ll join a dedicated team that treats every patient as a person first, guiding short stay observations toward safe dispositions and meaningful recoveries. Alongside the patient care you provide, you’ll have the chance to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of the state—from rolling plains and verdant parks to the charming streets of small towns and the nearby adventures of the Hocking Hills, Lake Erie's windswept shores, and historic sites along the Muskingum River. Ohio offers vibrant communities, seasonal festivals, and welcoming neighbors who value service as a shared mission.

Location Benefits: Working in Zanesville places you in a community hospital setting with close ties to the region’s medical network, offering stable, collaborative practice and the chance to impact diverse patient populations. You’ll benefit from a lower cost of living and a supportive, family oriented environment that prioritizes work‑life balance. For nurses who crave broader horizons, this role can also open opportunities to travel to varied locations across the U.S., experiencing different hospital cultures, patient demographics, and clinical protocols—while maintaining a consistent, high standard of care. Whether you stay local or explore new regions, you’ll gain adaptability, professional visibility, and a richer portfolio of clinical skills rooted in observation medicine.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As an Observation Unit RN, you’ll perform continuous patient assessment, monitor vitals and telemetry, escalate changes in condition promptly, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams to plan safe transitions from observation to admission or discharge. You’ll manage nursing interventions appropriate for short stay patients, including IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and patient education focused on recovery milestones and red flags. You’ll contribute to streamlined triage, accurate documentation, and proactive safety practices that protect both patients and staff. This role offers significant professional growth within the specialty, with access to evidence‑based protocols, quality improvement projects, and mentorship from experienced leaders. You’ll also benefit from a competitive package that includes a sign‑on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities that let you extend your assignment if you choose. The position provides guaranteed hours of 36 per week, with weekly pay in the range of $1,885 to $1,978, and the flexibility to align shifts with your preferences whenever possible. In addition, you’ll receive comprehensive support throughout your travel experience, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated team as you move between assignments and locations. The role’s start date is 04/20/2026, and durations are defined by weekly needs, allowing you to plan ahead while contributing your expertise to a patient population that benefits from your steady presence and specialized assessment skills.

Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering staff to accelerate career advancement while maintaining a compassionate, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. We invest in ongoing education, clinical leadership development, and constructive feedback loops that help you grow from bedside nurse to trusted expert in observation care. You’ll work alongside colleagues who value integrity, respect, and accountability, and you’ll be supported by program leadership that champions your professional goals while balancing your well‑being and safety.
