Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and manage invasive lines and devices.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; coordinate care with physicians and the broader healthcare team.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Document care delivery and patient progress in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families to support ongoing recovery and safety.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of California (active).
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor; facility-specific BLS required.
- ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
- Minimum two years of recent ICU/critical care experience.
- BSN preferred.
- EPIC experience required.
- Ability to work in an ICU environment and participate in a 13-week travel assignment.
