This assignment focuses on perioperative nursing in the OR and PACU with supervision of care planning across the surgical services department.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and to PACU patients across the age spectrum.
- Monitor patient status during perioperative periods, administer medications, and document care in accordance with policy.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team to plan and coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument turnover, and support intraoperative safety protocols.
- Assist with patient and family education, pain management, and post-anesthesia recovery needs.
- Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards; participate in on-call rotations as scheduled.

Requirements
- Active California registered nursing license
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of OR/PACU nursing experience
- Ability to work in an OR/PACU environment within a hospital setting and to participate in on-call rotations
- Additional preferences: Credentials in area of practice (e.g., CNOR, PANAC, AAOPU) preferred
- Compliance: Willingness to meet facility vaccination and health requirements as applicable; E-Verify participation may be needed
