Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ED patients, including initial assessment, triage, monitoring, and ongoing documentation
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedures per physician orders; monitor patient responses
- Respond to emergent situations; support airway management, vital signs surveillance, and rapid assessment protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, and ancillary staff; prepare patients for procedures and transfers
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record; ensure patient safety and comfort throughout care
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER (emergency department) nursing experience
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts; schedule varies 7 AM–7 PM
- Availability to work the specified major and minor holidays
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced ED/ER within an acute-care setting
