Occupational Therapist – Travel assignment in Santa Barbara, California. Start date May 18, 2026 for a 13-week engagement with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for residents to determine functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving activities of daily living and functional mobility
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions, monitor progress, and adjust interventions accordingly
- Reassess residents regularly and modify clinical plans to align with goals and discharge planning
- Document treatment encounters, progress, and outcomes in the medical record and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehab therapists, social work) to coordinate care and plan transitions
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapy license to practice in California
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Relevant experience in skilled nursing facilities or geriatric rehabilitation preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced SNF setting and maintain reliable attendance for the scheduled shift
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
