- Epic experience required; auto offer and backfill processes in place

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics
- Perform accurate triage assessments; communicate abnormal signs, symptoms, or vital signs to Emergency MD immediately
- Review and complete patient orders in a timely manner; ensure discharge instructions include medication side effects education
- Monitor for cardiac or respiratory distress and other emergent conditions; initiate appropriate nursing interventions for both stable and unstable patients
- Demonstrate competence in core ED nursing skills: medication administration, intravenous therapy (including blood products), indwelling catheter and drain care, and safe use of critical care equipment
- Interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies; support Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations as needed
- Document legibly, accurately, and promptly to maintain high-quality patient records; adhere to department policies and chain of command

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in California; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: At least one year of recent acute care experience required
- Additional: Must have current Epic experience; ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity ED setting
