Geneva, NY
Contracted
Geneva General Hospital (GGH)
Mid Level
Discover a purposeful, high-impact travel nursing opportunity as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care, where your clinical expertise can elevate patient outcomes across the demanding wards of New York, including the welcoming community of Geneva. This assignment invites you to apply your skill set in fast-paced environments that demand precision, empathy, and teamwork. As you plan your next career chapter, imagine the stunning places you’ll discover along the way—from the scenic shores of the Finger Lakes to the lush landscapes of the Hudson Valley, from vibrant city culture to tranquil rural vistas. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to grow, serve, and experience the diverse fabric of New York while shaping the care you deliver every day. Your start date is 04/13/2026, and the contract will be structured in weeks, offering you measurable milestones and fresh opportunities to broaden your expertise as you travel.
Working in New York offers a mosaic of experiences: access to world-class medical centers, opportunities to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and the flexibility to work in multiple facilities across the state or country. Geneva’s lakeside charm—its wineries, museums, and outdoor recreation—provides a restorative backdrop when you’re off shift, while the state’s major hubs offer stimulating clinical challenges. Traveling assignments also give you the freedom to explore iconic landscapes, seasonal activities, and regional cuisines, all while building a broad professional network and earning competitive pay. Whether you prefer the energy of metropolitan hospitals or the intimate pace of community facilities, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in diverse clinical cultures, learn from seasoned mentors, and translate that knowledge into enhanced patient care. Each rotation expands your acuity, deepens your communication skills with patients and families, and strengthens your ability to adapt care plans to evolving clinical situations. And when you’re back in Geneva between assignments, you can recharge in a region renowned for scenic beauty and vibrant local culture.
In this Acute Care RN role, you’ll provide comprehensive bedside nursing across general medical-surgical units and specialty teams, performing prompt patient assessments, monitoring acuity, administering medications and IV therapies, managing lines and devices, and coordinating with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and case managers to ensure seamless transitions of care. You’ll participate in rounding, safety initiatives, wound care, infection control, and discharge planning, while documenting care accurately in the electronic health record. The position offers clear pathways for professional growth within acute care—opportunities to expand critical care competencies, lead care coordination efforts, mentor junior staff, and pursue specialty certifications with support from the organization. You’ll have the chance to contribute to quality improvement projects, engage in evidence-based practice, and develop leadership skills that prepare you for roles such as charge nurse or clinical educator. This assignment is competitively compensated, with a weekly pay range of $2,015 to $2,043, reflecting your experience and the assignment’s location. You’ll also benefit from a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential to extend the assignment if your skills align with facility needs. While the hours are scheduled weekly, there is no guaranteed minimum, giving you the flexibility to align work with personal priorities. The start date is 04/13/2026 and contract length is expressed in weeks, providing a clear horizon for planning and progression.
Our company values your growth as much as your clinical contributions.
