Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist position in a long-term care (LTC) setting in York, PA. This travel temporary assignment starts on 04/20/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. The role offers a weekly pay range of $2,287 to $2,506, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents in the LTC/geriatric setting.
- Implement physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, range of motion, and pain management strategies.
- Reassess resident progress, document daily notes, and update the Plan of Care in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, OT, speech-language pathology, physicians) to optimize resident outcomes.
- Ensure patient safety, maintain infection control standards, and uphold confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Facilitate discharge planning and provide education to residents and families regarding home programs and durable medical equipment as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license to practice in Pennsylvania or eligibility for PA licensure
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care physical therapy preferred
- Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work the scheduled shift and meet guaranteed hours
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary care
- Adaptability to a skilled nursing/long-term care setting and pace
