Travel Radiology Echo Tech Job
Echo Tech – Travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Cardiac echocardiography support in a critical access facility. Start date 06/07/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $2,336–$2,393 per week with guaranteed 40 hours. Shift: Day shift, 4x10s. The Echo Tech will perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiographic studies under the direction of a Cardiologist, contributing essential information for cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms per protocol, ASE guidelines, and physician orders
- Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality cardiac images; use contrast agents when appropriate
- Analyze echocardiographic data and prepare preliminary findings for the interpreting Cardiologist
- May start and manage intravenous lines for contrast echocardiography when credentialed and trained
- Collaborate with Cardiologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely patient care
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety; review images for clarity and diagnostic value
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports in the PACS/EMR; perform equipment QC and report malfunctions
- Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety standards; participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities (IAC Echocardiography)
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus in Cardiac Sonography
- Certifications/Licenses: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI; BLS certification
- Experience: 1 year of Echo Tech experience; three years preferred
- Additional: CRASE training may be required if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Physical/working environment: Ability to work in an inpatient, hospital-based setting; capable of meeting the physical demands described in the job notes (e.g., lifting, standing for extended periods, occasional movement of equipment)
