Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Registered Nurse, Long-Term Care (LTC) – Travel assignment in Sibley, Iowa. This 13-week temporary position starts 04/27/2026 and offers 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour rotating (days/nights) with weekend coverage every 3rd overnight. Setting: LTC – Assisted Living Facility. This position is a travel assignment with a focus on inpatient geriatric care in a masked yet supportive environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting, including comprehensive assessments and contributing to the development and modification of individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor responses, and document outcomes accurately.
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and comfort levels; recognize and escalate changes in condition promptly.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (CNA, LPN, physicians, social services) to support safe, person-centered care and timely care plan updates.
- Maintain PCC charting and ensure accurate, timely documentation; communicate effectively during shift handoffs and with family members as appropriate.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and comfort through consistent care activities, falls prevention, and assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Iowa (or applicable state) and ability to provide documentation as required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends and occasional overnights as described.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of functioning in a fast-paced LTC environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and PCC charting; accurate, timely documentation is essential.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
