Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately following facility policy and nursing standards, under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Perform routine nursing assessments, monitor and record vital signs, respond to changes in patient condition, and communicate findings to the supervising RN
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, grooming, hygiene, and feeding, while promoting safety and comfort
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and basic treatment procedures within scope of practice and according to care plans
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record, including MAR entries, care notes, and progress updates; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plans as needed
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and patient rights to ensure high-quality care for residents over the duration of the assignment
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a long-term care setting
- Availability to commit to a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to document and report clearly
